Nancy Carson has been named Executive Vice President, Distribution, for Warner Bros. Pictures International. The announcement was made today by Veronika Kwan-Rubinek, President of Distribution, to whom Carson reports directly.
In her expanded role, Carson is responsible for overseeing matters related to film distribution internationally, including dating strategies, tracking box office, revenue and profitability. Carson is the Subsidiary's primary liaison with Warner Home Video, focusing on international release windows, and with Corporate Finance on budgeting and forecasting issues relating to the performance of the motion picture slate. In addition to supervising the home office staff, she works closely with regional supervisors and territory managers.
She is the chief liaison with Business Affairs on distribution and acquisition matters, and oversees the relationship with IMAX on behalf of Warner Bros. Pictures' large-format movies internationally.
"Nancy is an invaluable leader on my team, whose experience, commitment and judgement are integral to the success of our operation," said Kwan-Rubinek. "I am so pleased to recognize her many contributions with this new title."
Carson joined Warner Bros. Pictures International in June 1996 as Director of Distribution, was promoted to Vice President in 1998 and was named Senior Vice President in 2001. Prior to her tenure with Warner Bros. Pictures, she served as Director of International Distribution at Morgan Creek from 1989 to 1996, and held several posts in accounting at Vestron between 1987 and 1989.
