John K. Martin, Jr. has been named director of investor relations of Time Warner Inc., it was announced today by Time Warner's Vice President of Investor Relations, Joan Sumner.
In his new position, Martin will work with Sumner on a wide range of investor relations initiatives and will assume the role of principal day-to-day contact for Time Warner with the institutional investment community.
In making the announcement, Sumner said, I am delighted that John is joining Time Warner Investor Relations Department. He is a consummate professional who possesses a broad knowledge of our company's operations and financial strategies. His five years of experience with Time Warner and his strong financial acumen will make him an important asset to the company and to our shareholders in his new role.
Prior to joining Time Warner Investor Relations Department, Martin was director, Office of the President, at Time Warner, where he provided financial analysis and strategic services to the company and its President, Richard D. Parsons. Previously, Martin served as director, finance special projects, at Time Warner, where he was involved in the company's long-term planning process.
Before joining Time Warner, Martin was a senior accountant in the business assurance practice at Ernst and Young LLP in New York.
Martin received an M.B.A. degree from Columbia Business School in 1994 and a B.S. degree from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania in 1989.
