Exclusive Presentation Is Highest Rated Comedy Special On HBO In Five Years

JERRY SEINFELD: "I'M TELLING YOU FOR THE LAST TIME": LIVE ON BROADWAY knocked out the competition when the HBO special was presented SUNDAY, AUG. 9 (9:00-10:15 p.m. ET; tape-delayed PT). The exclusive presentation received a 13.2 rating/20 share, outperforming ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in HBO homes. ABC received a 4.4/7, CBS a 5.9/9, NBC a 4.6/7 and FOX a 4.5/7, according to Nielsen ratings data.* The highest rated comedy special on HBO in five years, the exclusive presentation reached 11.2 million people, nearly doubling the average audience for that time period.

JERRY SEINFELD: "I'M TELLING YOU FOR THE LAST TIME": LIVE ON BROADWAY, his second solo stand-up special for HBO, featured him performing some of the classic stand-up material that established Seinfeld as a major comedy talent. The live HBO telecast was the culmination of a ten-show run on Broadway at the Broadhurst Theater (235 W. 44 St.) from Wednesday, Aug. 5, through Sunday, Aug. 9.

Jerry Seinfeld was executive producer of the special, which was produced and directed by Marty Callner.
