Exclusive Family Special: Mary Tyler Moore in Three Cats From Miami... And Other Pet Practitioners to Debut on HBO This May

This May, the exclusive family presentation MARY TYLER MOORE IN THREE CATS FROM MIAMI... AND OTHER PET PRACTITIONERS celebrates animals that rehabilitate, comfort, and generally help people in need. Co-presented by the Delta Society,(r) which has pioneered the growing field of animal-assisted therapy through its Pet Partners Program, the special is the organization's recent awards show honoring these remarkable animals.

Before an audience in Atlanta, Mary Tyler Moore presents awards to the following animals, among others: Mo the Turtle, winner of the Hard Shell, Soft Heart Award for his work with children with disabilities; Natasha, a "mutt with class," winner of the New Best Friend Award for her work as a service dog to a young girl in a wheelchair; Dusty the Rabbit, winner of the Softest Touch in the World Award for helping severely burned children with their rehabilitation, and Buster, Flashback and Flame, three cats from Miami who bring joy and companionship to elderly nursing home residents. The awards ceremony also includes short documentaries showing these animals and their human partners.
