Teen People's 5th Annual Rock 'n Shop Hits the Road For 7-Market Back-to-School Tour

Back-to-School Event Featuring Fall Fashion and Live Music By Lillix, Stacie Orrico and The Troys;Guest Appearances from the Cast Members from NBC's 'American Dreams'

New York, NY - TEEN PEOPLE, the award-winning pop culture magazine for teens, announces its 5th annual, Rock 'n Shop, presented by L.A. LOOKS and brought to you by Maybelline and Disney Channel. Traveling to seven different cities, Rock 'n Shop will give teens the opportunity to preview the latest back-to-school fashions while enjoying live music performances from buzz-worthy artists. Maverick recording artists Lillix (Seattle, Bethesda, and Paramus), Virgin recording artist Stacie Orrico (Minneapolis and Dallas), and Elektra recording artists The Troys (Los Angeles, Dallas, Miami and Paramus) have been confirmed to participate in this year's Rock 'n Shop. In addition, cast members from NBC's American Dreams will appear at each market to meet with teens and sign autographs.

Launched in 1999, Rock 'n Shop combines music and fashion for a cross-country back-to-school mall tour. Teens at Rock 'n Shop will enjoy live musical performances and get a sneak peek at back-to-school style with a fashion presentation modeled by local-area teens in each market. TEEN PEOPLE never uses models in its fashion pages and Rock 'n Shop will reflect this by allowing local teens to showcase this year's back-to-school styles. Visitors to this year's Rock 'n Shop will have the opportunity to sample products at sponsor booths that cater to a teenager's lifestyle in categories including fashion, beauty, music, gaming and television.

LOOKS, the presenting sponsor for this year's Rock 'n Shop, will give hair makeovers and consultations to attendees in a signature booth designed to make teens feel like they are at an exclusive Hollywood "Beauty Bar." L.A. LOOKS will also host a casting call every Friday night giving teens in each market the chance to model fashions for back-to-school in TEEN PEOPLE's style presentation on Saturday.

Teens at Rock 'n Shop will have the opportunity to step up to the mic and sing for a spot in Maybelline's "Maybe You've Got It" competition. One winner will be selected at each market to represent their city in Maybelline's national competition. The winner of the national competition will be flown to TEEN PEOPLE magazine's Artist of the Year party in L.A. Other Rock 'n Shop sponsors include Disney Channel, Oxy, Electronic Arts Sims Superstar, PACSUN and NBC's American Dreams.
