BURBANK, CA - The WB's DAWSON'S CREEK came to a record-smashing conclusion last week after six seasons. For those who missed it, or want to see the kids from the creek one last time, The WB will be presenting an special encore presentation of the two-hour finale on Wednesday, May 28 (8:00-10:00 p.m. ET).

The finale (originally aired on May 14) earned new all-time marks for the network in adults 18-34 (6.6/18) and women 18-34 (9.1/21), which was nearly three rating points ahead of the previous record set by 7TH HEAVEN in 1999.

The episode was also The WB's second-highest-rating ever in women 18-49 (5.8/13), fifth highest in adults 18-49 (4.2/11) and women 12-34 (8.2/21) and sixth highest in persons 12-34 (5.1/17), and The WB's highest Wednesday night deliveries ever across those demos. Additionally, the episode earned triple-digit gains for The WB in most key demos both year-to-year for the time period and vs. its average this season.

The finale, which was set five years in the future, saw the gang back together in Capeside for the wedding of Dawson's mother (Mary Margaret Hume), but the celebration turned tragic when Jen (Michelle Williams) was stricken by a fatal heart ailment. In the final scene, which was the payoff for the 7.3 million loyal viewers who tuned-in, Joey Potter (Katie Holmes) give her heart to her high school sweetheart Pacey Whiter (Joshua Jackson) instead of her childhood soul mate Dawson Lerry (James Van Der Beek).

The episode also included interstitials produced by the network featuring interviews with the show's stars, classic clips from the past six seasons and footage from events held during the final week of filming in Wilmington, N.C.
