This Old House(r) Programs Nominated for Seven Daytime Emmy Awards

In Its First Year, ASK THIS OLD HOUSE™ Receives Three Nominations, Including Outstanding Service Show

BOSTON -- America's highest rated home improvement series, This Old House; its latest addition, Ask This Old House; and the first-ever special on the making of the flagship series, Behind the Scenes at This Old House, were honored today with a total of seven Daytime Emmy Award nominations. This means that This Old House continues to be the most awarded home improvement series in television history with 16 Emmy Awards and now a grand total of 67 Emmy nominations. In its debut season, Ask This Old House received three Emmy nominations, while Behind the Scenes at This Old House was also nominated.

For 2003, This Old House's Daytime Emmy nominations go to creator, executive producer and director Russell Morash and senior producer Bruce Irving for Outstanding Service Show; host Steve Thomas for Outstanding Service Show Host; and editor Gary Stephenson for Outstanding Achievement in Single Camera Editing.

Ask This Old House, the all-new series, was recognized with nominations for creator, executive producer and director Russell Morash and senior producer Bruce Irving for Outstanding Service Show; creator, executive producer and director Russell Morash for Outstanding Directing in a Service Show; and cameraman Steve D'Onofrio for Outstanding Achievement in Single Camera Photography.

Honored with a nomination in the category of Outstanding Special Class Special is executive producer Russell Morash and producer David Vos for Behind The Scenes at This Old House.

The 30th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards ceremony for the Creative Arts Awards will take place on May 10, 2003 in New York City.

Executive producer and director Russell Morash created This Old House in 1979 and introduced viewers to the all-new Ask This Old House in 2002. He currently ranks 4th on the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences list of Top 100 Daytime Emmy Award winners.

This Old House is produced by This Old House Productions, Inc. for This Old House Ventures, Inc. and is presented on PBS by WGBH Boston. This Old House creator, executive producer and director is Russell Morash. Senior producer is Bruce Irving. Producer and director of Behind the Scenes at This Old House is David Vos.
