Jonathan F. Miller Named Chairman and CEO of America Online NEW YORK-AOL Time Warner Inc. (NYSE: AOL) today announced that Jonathan F. Miller, formerly President and CEO of USA Interactive's USA Information and Services (USAIS), has been named Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of its America Online, Inc. division. AOL Time Warner CEO Richard Parsons said: "Jon Miller is absolutely the right person to lead America Online into its next stage of growth. Jon's success in building consumer-driven businesses online and offline has given him the right blend of expertise and experience to revitalize America Online. He is, moreover, a person of unquestioned integrity and character, and a great team player, to boot. I look forward to working closely with Jon and Don Logan to create new value at America Online for our shareholders, employees, partners and customers." Mr. Miller, 45, will be responsible for all of America Online's businesses, including the flagship AOL service, and will report to Don Logan, Chairman of AOL Time Warner's Media & Communications Group. Mr. Miller brings extensive management experience in interactive services, media, entertainment and technology to his new position -- previously serving as President and CEO of USAIS, as well as USA Networks' USA Electronic Commerce/Services and USA Broadcasting divisions; Managing Director of Nickelodeon International; Vice President and Co-General Manager of NBA Entertainment; and Director, instructional programming, at Boston's WGBH-TV. This year, Mr. Miller worked with General Catalyst Partners, a Boston-based private equity firm, on a new venture to create online transactional businesses. General Catalyst and America Online have had a longstanding association, and Mr. Miller said he would work to extend that relationship in his new role.
