TNT Latin America Secures Rights to 79 Warner Bros. Movies TNT Latin America Secures Rights to 79 Warner Bros. Movies, Including The Fugitive, Something to Talk About and Heat Turner Network Television Latin America (TNT) has expanded its distinguished library of world-class films after licensing 79 motion pictures from Warner Bros. International Television Distribution. The widely known hit movies will begin airing in January of 2000. The announcement, made today by Rick Perez, vice president of TNT Latin America, significantly broadens the extensive number of titles in TNT's film library and sets the stage for attracting more viewers in the new millenium. "This Warner Bros. package is a significant addition to our continually growing movie library," said Perez. "It is representative of what TNT has to offer the Latin American viewer, with a sizzling mix of contemporary, star-studded hits from adventure to drama to comedy." The two-year agreement delivers a variety of well-known titles, stars, and directors, including Academy Award(r) Best Picture nominee The Fugitive, starring Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones, who took home a Best Supporting Actor Oscar(r) for the role; the charming, part romance - part family saga Something to Talk About starring Julia Roberts and Dennis Quaid; Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro's epic crime drama Heat; the biographical Surviving Picasso, with Anthony Hopkins' portrayal of the great artist; director Tim Burton's all-star sci-fi comedy Mars Attacks!; and Jim Carrey's Africa adventure comedy, Ace Ventura 2: When Nature Calls. TNT is the most widely distributed pan-regional movie network in the region. TNT's film line-up is built on the strength of its box office hits and ever-growing original film library. It is currently seen in more than 11.4 million homes throughout the Latin American/Caribbean region.
