An HBO favorite returns for an all-new hour of stand-up comedy when THE 'ROUND MIDNIGHT SPECIAL: PAUL RODRIGUEZ: IDIOTS AND ARMADILLOS debuts FRIDAY, MARCH 13 (11:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m. ET). Taped earlier this month at Hogg Memorial Auditorium in Austin, Tex., the exclusive presentation marks his third solo special on the network.

Other playdates: March 17 (12:30 a.m.) and 25 (3:35 a.m.), and April 2 (3:30 a.m.) and 7 (11:00 p.m.).

The star of the "HBO Comedy Hour" specials "Paul Rodriguez: I Need the Couch" (1987) and "Paul Rodriguez: Live in San Quentin" (1995), Rodriguez has also appeared on all seven Comic Relief(tm) telecasts. His other HBO credits include hosting a "Young Comedians Show" in 1988, appearing on "HBO Comedy Hour: A New York Night -- LIVE" in 1993, and serving as executive producer for the Friday late-night series "Loco Slam" in 1994.

In addition, Rodriguez has starred in network TV series ("a.k.a. Pablo," "Grand Slam") and movies ("Rough Magic," "Made in America," "D.C. Cab," "A Million to Juan"). He also works regularly with Hispanic civic and educational groups, hosts charity events benefiting the National Hispanic Scholarship Fund, and contributes to numerous other charitable efforts, including Farm Aid and Project Literacy.
