HBO Receives 21 Primetime Emmy® Awards, The Most of Any Network This Year; Grey Gardens Leads HBO Programming with 6 Emmys®

HBO received 21 Primetime Emmy® Awards, the most of any network, in the 61st Annual Primetime Emmy® Awards competition. Grey Gardens led HBO's winners with 6 awards. In addition to HBO's Emmy® wins, Sheila Nevins, president, HBO Documentary Films, received the Governors Award.

HBO's Emmy® wins this year include:

6 Emmys® for Grey Gardens, including Outstanding Made for Television Movie; Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or a Movie (Jessica Lange); Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie (Ken Howard); Outstanding Art Direction for a Miniseries or a Movie; Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup for a Series, Miniseries, Movie or a Special; and Outstanding Hairstyling for a Miniseries or a Movie.

3 Emmys® for Generation Kill, including Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Miniseries or a Movie; Outstanding Special Visual Effects for a Miniseries, Movie or a Special; and Outstanding Sound Editing for a Miniseries, Movie or a Special.

2 Emmys® for Chris Rock: Kill the Messenger, including Outstanding Writing for a Variety, Music or Comedy Special (Chris Rock) and Outstanding Picture Editing for a Special (Single or Multi-Camera).

2 Emmys® for Into the Storm, including Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie (Brendan Gleeson) and Outstanding Music Composition for a Miniseries, Movie or a Special (Original Dramatic Score).

2 Emmys® for Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired, including Outstanding Directing for Nonfiction Programming (Marina Zenovich) and Outstanding Writing for Nonfiction Programming (Joe Bini, P.G. Morgan, Marina Zenovich).

1 Emmy® for Entourage: Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Comedy or Drama Series (Half-Hour) and Animation.

1 Emmy® for Grandpa, Do You Know Who I Am? With Maria Shriver: Outstanding Children's Nonfiction Program.

1 Emmy® for House of Saddam: Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or a Movie (Shohreh Aghdashloo).
