Ben 10: Alien Force Continues Ratings, Delivery Surge Among Kids and Boys, Building Upon Last Week's Saturday Morning Premiere by 7% - 24%

Cartoon Network presented the second episode of its new animated original series Ben 10: Alien Force on Saturday, April 26, at 10 a.m. in its regularly scheduled timeslot, firmly beating its performance last Saturday, according to preliminary data from Nielsen Media Research. Proving the supernatural power of the Omnitrix, Ben 10: Alien Force charted 17% ratings growth and 21% delivery growth among kids 9-14, 9% ratings and delivery growth among kids 6-11 and 7% ratings and delivery growth among kids 2-11. Overall, Ben 10: Alien Force ranked as the #1 program in its time period compared to all broadcast and basic cable competition among kids 9-14, boys 9-14 and boys 6-11. Prior to Ben 10: Alien Force's premiere last week, Cartoon Network previously ranked #1 in the time period on April 12 with a telecast of the original Ben 10 animated series.

Highlights of Ben 10: Alien Force second week performance compared to its original series premiere performance last week include the following:

Ben 10: Alien Force (Saturday, Apr. 26, 10 a.m.) vs. the same time period last week

  • · Kids 9-14 delivery (693,000) grew by 21%, and ratings (2.8) by 17%—#1 in time period on all television
  • · Kids 6-11 delivery (910,000) and ratings (3.7) both improved by 9%
  • · Kids 2-11 delivery (1,161,00) and ratings (2.9) both jumped by 7%
  • · Boys 9-14 delivery (554,000) increased by 24%, and ratings (4.4) by 22%—#1 in time period on all television
  • · Boys 6-11 delivery (680,000) expanded by 21%, and ratings (5.5) by 22%—#1 in time period on all television
  • · Boys 2-11 delivery (852,000) increased by 13%, and ratings (4.1) by 11%

Ben 10: Alien Force begins the next chapter in the continuing Ben 10 saga five years later when 15-year-old Ben Tennyson chooses to once again put on the OMNITRIX and discovers that it has reconfigured his DNA and can now transform him into 10 brand new aliens.
