Gossip Girl Virtually Matches Last Week's Return in Adults 18-34 and Women 18-34; Builds Week to Week in Teen and Female Teens

Gossip Girl Wins the Hour in Female Teens; Ranks Second With Females 12-34 and Teens

The CW's new night of drama with Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill scored the network's best Monday ever in teens (2.1/6) and female teens (3.4/10), according to preliminary live plus same day Nielsen ratings for Monday, April 28, 2008. With Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill, The CW delivered its second best Monday ever in adults 18-34 (1.8/5) and women 18-34 (2.6/7).

In its second week of new episodes, Gossip Girl virtually matched last week's return in adults 18-34 (1.9/6) and women 18-34 (2.8/8), and equaled with last week in total viewers (2.5mil) and adults 18-49 (1.3/3). Gossip Girl saw dramatic week to week gains of 18% in teens (2.0/6) and +25% in female teens (3.5/11).

Gossip Girl won its time period in female teens and ranked second in the hour among females 12-34 (3.0/8) and teens (2.0/6).

One Tree Hill held 100% of its female teen (3.2/10) audience from last week. One Tree Hill ranked second in the hour among teens (2.1/6) and female teens.

The CW won Monday night among female teens (3.4/10), second among teens (2.1/6) and beat NBC and CBS to rank third with females 12-34 (2.8/8).
