From the company that publishes Cooking Light, Southern Living, Sunset, Cottage Living and Coastal Living magazines, MyRecipes.com is the one-stop source for finding recipes, step-by-step instructions, how-to videos, healthy cuisine, and entertaining tips.

Southern Progress, publisher of nationally recognized brands that reach more than 35 million people each month, also announces today the formation of a new digital division, SPC Digital, to bring its powerful brands together in new online venues. MyRecipes.com is the first portal from SPC Digital.

A powerful recipe finder is at the heart of MyRecipes.com, featuring more than 25,000 professionally, kitchen-tested recipes, with hundreds more added each month.

Unlike most food sites, all the recipes on MyRecipes.com are tested by food professionals. The company’s test kitchens are designed to replicate home kitchens, and the recipes feature ingredients available at local markets.

In addition to showcasing the high-quality content and photography developed throughout Southern Progress, MyRecipes.com will feature extensive daily programming, including “Dinner Tonight,” “Quick & Easy” and “Healthy Diet.” Daily features will include seasonal menus and how-to videos. Users will also be able to save their favorite recipes, build and e-mail shopping lists, create and share menus for upcoming get-togethers, rate recipes and discover must-try dishes.

Later this summer, the site will offer new and original video content that will be produced in its digital studios in the company’s Birmingham, Alabama, headquarters.

MyRecipes.com provides a host of integrated advertising solutions, including integrated placements, pre-roll video, display and rich media. Initial advertisers on MyRecipes.com include Weber Grill, GlaxoSmithKline and Hewlett Packard.
