AOL and GMC -- Along with Time Warner Global Media Group -- Partner on Three Lifestyle Video Series DULLES, Va. - AOL and Time Warner Global Media Group have joined forces with GMC to launch three new video programming series on AOL, featuring cooking, home entertaining and home improvement workshops with leading lifestyle experts. The series includes "Cooking with Tyler Florence," "Home Entertaining with Michele and Gia" and "Home Improvement with Eric Stromer." All three programs debut today on AOL's Living Channel (http://living.aol.com). Available free and on demand, the three series will offer AOL visitors a total of 78 unique three- to five-minute online video episodes. And each video will be distilled into smaller, more portable components, including step-by-step photo galleries, audio podcasts, printable instructions, and send-to-phone capabilities. In addition, the series will include 20 custom, sidebar GMC-branded "Trade Secrets" videos, spotlighting quick tips from these experts. The "Trade Secrets" segments echo GMC's "Professional Grade" branding campaign, aligning professional tricks and insights from lifestyle gurus with the company's message. Under the GMC partnership, each of the series will incorporate one of the company's vehicles in action, including the GMC Yukon in 'Cooking with Tyler Florence' segments, the GMC Acadia in 'Home Entertaining' and the GMC Sierra in the 'Home Improvement' segments. In addition, GMC commercials will be shown as pre-roll during half of the shows' streams, and the company will command a significant portion of the program homepages' banner ads. "Partnering with AOL provides us with the perfect opportunity to interact with our target consumer in a new way through innovative programming at an interactive level," said Mary Kubitskey, GMC advertising manager. "And, these series enable us to showcase our GMC vehicles as the secret ingredient for cookouts and parties, as well as a handy tool for transporting home improvement supplies." "We are proud to align with GMC and our celebrity talent to add new content to the AOL Living programming area," said Kathy Kayse, Executive Vice President, Sales/Partnership Alliances, AOL. "These series are designed to actively engage AOL's core audience – while delivering the ideal platform for GMC to reach targeted consumers."
