Films she has previously overseen include the first four Harry Potter movies, as well as Must Love Dogs, Starsky and Hutch, Gothika, Scooby Doo, Scooby Doo: Monsters Unleashed, Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood, Analyze This and Analyze That. Earlier, she was on the production team for Three Kings and A Perfect Storm.

"Polly has done a fantastic job overseeing some of our most important movies," said Robinov. "She has great creative instincts and can handle any production. She is a key part of our creative group, and I am lucky to have her on our team."

Cohen joined Warner Bros. Studios in 1997 as a Creative Executive and was named a Production Executive in 1998. In 1999 she became Vice President, Production, and in 2003 she moved up to Senior Vice President. Earlier, while still a graduate student in USC's Peter Stark Production Program, Cohen worked for Warner Bros. Pictures as a production management trainee. Upon obtaining her MFA, she joined Jersey Films, where she spent two years, rising to the post of creative executive.

Cohen received her undergraduate degree from the University of California at San Diego in Chinese Studies, and lived and worked in Southeast Asia before entering the entertainment industry.
