Currently available at http://www.aol.com/podcasting, listeners can easily discover, experience and download some of the web’s most popular podcasts, including programs from KCRW, “This Week in Tech,” AOL’s “Sports Bloggers Live,” “Reel Reviews,” the BBC, CNN and more through the comprehensive Podcasting 101 feature, or enjoy a 24/7 stream of standout programming on AOL® Radio’s new Podcasting station. Fans are also able to search for thousands of additional podcasts with the new version of AOL’s Winamp® 5.1 media player. Enhanced podcast search ability is coming to AOL® Search (http://www.aolsearch.com) this fall.

Podcasting 101 and the AOL Radio Podcasting Station
With step-by-step instructions on getting started, Podcasting 101’s guide to podcasting lets visitors pick from the most popular podcasts available – from big names to small – for one time download or subscription. To sample some of the hottest podcasts, visitors can also tune in to AOL Radio’s new Podcast station, featuring a non-stop stream of these popular programs.

Highlights of AOL’s currently featured podcasts include AOL-hosted "best of the web" talk format programs such as:

• KCRW’s “Morning Becomes Eclectic,” “Music Exchange,” “Le Show,” “Left, Right & Center,” and “Bookworm;”
• the hugely popular “This Week in Tech” and “Security Now!;”
• AOL’s first original podcast, “Sports Bloggers Live;” and
• Michael Geoghegan’s “Reel Reviews,” on of the first movie-related podcast on the net.

Podcast Search

In addition to the new podcast programming launched today, AOL’s popular Winamp 5.1 media player includes a new podcast directory called SHOUTcast Wire. The directory gives users the ability to discover, download and subscribe to hundreds of podcasts from podcasters around the world.

In a separate announcement today, TVEyes revealed that its Podscope search engine will be integrated with AOL Search (http://www.aolsearch.com). In the coming months, AOL will offer visitors the ability to discover thousands of additional podcasts through the integration of Spoken Word Indexing™. This innovative search capability will allow fans to get audio search results and sample from tens of thousands of search-specific audio clips.
