New York, NY and Burbank, CA - Who’s that running down Broadway in search of his favorite snack? Well, it’s none other than Scooby-Doo. On Thursday, November 24th, Scooby-Doo will make his Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade debut, flying high above the Great White Way in search of Scooby Snacks as a larger-than-life giant helium balloon. Macy’s and Warner Bros. Consumer Products have big plans for Scooby-Doo. Not only is he debuting in the world-famous Parade as a giant balloon, but he will also be starring as Macy’s very own Holiday Ambassador as a kid-friendly collectible plush.

Designed and crafted by the magicians at the Macy’s Parade Studio, the artists behind the balloons and fabulous floats of the Macy’s Parade, Scooby-Doo will be truly transformed into a Parade giant. With the help of several handling lines and thousands of cubic feet of helium, Scooby-Doo will make his way down Broadway to the delight of millions of spectators lined along the 2.5-mile Parade route and over 50 million television viewers.

Macy’s Holiday Ambassador- Collectible Plush
His Broadway debut not only marks the first time that Scooby-Doo has been in the Macy’s Parade but this year Scooby-Doo earns an extra special holiday treat as Macy’s Official Holiday Ambassador. Appearing as a cute and cuddly plush in Macy’s stores nationwide, Scooby-Doo will ring in the Holidays with a bang.

In addition to his high flying Parade antics, a Scooby-Doo cold-air balloon will be a welcoming sight for millions of visitors during the Holiday Season as he sits atop Macy’s Herald Square’s marquee. He’ll also be gracing the front of Macy’s holiday shopping bags, will help transform the entire store with special Scooby-Doo plush decorations and make special appearances throughout the season. Customers can purchase the collectible Scooby-Doo plush for $16.95 when making a $35 purchase at all Macy’s stores nationwide, while supplies last.
