“Pokémon The Movie: Destiny Deoxys” Gives Kids’ WB! Best Ratings Since 2003

BURBANK, CA — Kids' WB!’s exclusive U.S. premiere of the much-anticipated “Pokémon The Movie: Destiny Deoxys” gave the network its best delivery in key demographics since 2003. On Saturday, January 22, the network dominated as #1 among all Saturday morning competition in Boys 6-11 (5.8/23) and Male Tweens 9-14 (5.4/26), and ranked as the #1 broadcaster in Kids 2-11 (3.1/12), Kids 6-11 (3.9/16), Boys 2-11 (4.4/17) and Tweens 9-14 (3.5/18). The network also posted year-to-year double-digit gains in Kids 2-11 (+19%), Kids 6-11 (+22%), Boys 2-11 (+16%), Boys 6-11 (+14%), Girls 2-11 (+31%) and Girls 6-11 (+46%). Among Kids 2-11, Kids’ WB! topped the performances of CBS (1.6/7), ABC Kids (1.5/6), Fox Box (1.3/5) and NBC (0.9/3). Among Kids 6-11, the network beat ABC Kids (1.6/6), Fox Box (1.5/6), NBC (1.0/4) and CBS (0.8/3).

Poké-Mania hit Kids’ WB! as the highly anticipated “Pokémon The Movie: Destiny Deoxys” made its exclusive U.S. premiere on Saturday, January 22 (10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. ET/9:00 – 11:00 a.m. PT). Posting the network’s best ratings since 2003 for the two-hour period, the movie special took the #1 program spot, overall competition, in the key demographic of Boys 6-11 (7.4/26) and in Male Tweens 9-14 (6.9/28). “Pokémon The Movie: Destiny Deoxys” also ranked among the top five program spots in Boys 2-11 (5.6/19) and Tweens 9-14 (4.5/19), and among the top 10 overall spots in Kids 2-11 (3.9/14) and Kids 6-11 (4.8/17). The Pokémon special also led as the #1 broadcast program in all these key demos.

In its 9:30 a.m. ET time period, Xiaolin Showdown took the #2 broadcast spot for the morning, only behind the special Pokémon movie, in Kids 2-11 (3.2/12), Kids 6-11 (3.8/14), Boys 2-11 (4.1/16), Boys 6-11 (5.4/21), Tweens 9-14 (3.6/17) and Male Tweens 9-14(5.4/25). The action-comedy-adventure also ranked as the #2 program, including cable, among Male Tweens 9-14, #3 in Tweens 9-14, #5 in Boys 6-11 and among the top 10 overall programs in Kids 2-11, Kids 6-11 and Boys 2-11.

Teen Titans (9:00 a.m. ET) captured the competition, delivering time period season highs among Kids 2-11 (2.8/12), Kids 6-11 (3.7/16) and Girls 6-11 (2.4/10), and ranking as the #3 broadcast series in Kids 2-11, Kids 6-11, Boys 2-11 (3.6/15), Boys 6-11 (4.9/21), Tweens 9-14 (3.2/18) and Male Tweens 9-14 (4.8/25). The series also took the #3 overall program spot for the morning in Male Tweens 9-14 and ranked among the top 10 programs in Boys 2-11, Boys 6-11 and Tweens 9-14.

At 8:30 a.m. ET, ˇMucha Lucha! Gigante outperformed the competition to rank as the #4 broadcast program for the morning in Kids 6-11 (2.9/15), Boys 2-11 (3.1/16), Boys 6-11 (4.3/22) and Male Tweens 9-14 (3.4/22).
