bulletCompany’s operations have a clear strategic fit with an existing Time Warner business.
bulletCompany’s senior management team is diverse or the company’s product/service targets an underserved market. (Defined as rural, inner city or certain ethnic markets we do not consider fully served today.)
bulletCompany is at stage of development where business models are validated by significant revenue generation.
bulletTarget investment size is $2-10 million over the life of the investment, including follow-on investments. Prefer that capital needed to achieve cash flow break even does not exceed $10 million.
bulletReturn on investment is attractive (the fund does not make grants).
bulletTime Warner’s investment represents less than 20% ownership in the company.
bulletThe bulk of revenues are generated through domestic operations.
bulletA Close Partnership: Time Warner expects to be an active and prominent investor. Will act as lead investor in a round and will seek board seats and observer rights as appropriate.
