Supporting and Celebrating Employees' Giving Back

Time Warner also supports employee volunteer efforts and individual philanthropic interests through an Employee Volunteer Grants Program. All employees who volunteer 30 hours or more per year at one nonprofit organization are eligible to direct a $1,000 Time Warner grant to that organization. On a divisional basis, Time Warner also creates company-matched Holiday Giving Campaigns for employees. In addition, Time Warner's Matching Grants Program will match employee contributions to nonprofit educational institutions or arts/culture organizations. Match amount limits and ratios are determined by each participating Time Warner division.

Additionally, in 2006, Time Warner will mark the 25th anniversary of the company’s annual employee community service awards program, The Andrew Heiskell Awards, named in honor of the former Chairman and CEO of Time Inc., who was a great believer in employee volunteerism and set a shining example himself as a community leader and philanthropist in New York City.

Time Warner’s Andrew Heiskell Community Service Awards are the highest recognitions the company gives to employees who made exceptional contributions to public service. Each year hundreds of individuals are nominated by their co-workers across the Time Warner divisions for awards. Through a careful selection process ten individuals and one employee team are selected. Awards include individual honorariums as well as a company donation made on behalf of the employee to the nonprofit organization of his or her choice.
