Working at TimeWarner

Brian
Warner Home Video, Tokyo

Universally Diverse

A truly exciting part of working for Time Warner for me is the diversity of global contacts. Whether calling a neighboring office in Asia, the studio in the US or an affiliate office in EMEA, I am constantly connected with business leaders all over the world.

While I am part of a fairly small group (over 10,000 miles away from TW headquarters), the passionate and exciting conversations I have with my colleagues to promote and sell our content worldwide makes Time Warner a unique and great place to work.

Wheels in the Sky

Aside from the thrill I get every morning dodging Tokyo traffic on my bicycle on the way to the office, I am propelled by the feeling that I am part of something big and we are getting the job done. I am also very challenged and stimulated by our leaders. Recently all Warner Home Video employees worldwide were asked to come up with just one idea to improve our company.

We had several innovative ideas to fight piracy in Asia, from raising consumer awareness on the Internet (by adding MPA Anti-Piracy trailers to our websites) to starting loyalty programs that help to bridge the offline DVD experience to online exclusive, premium web content.

Over the last three months, I can see ideas being championed throughout the entire organization. We are moving faster and things are getting better. The feeling of accomplishment and contribution is exhilarating.
