Highlights

Time Inc. is the largest magazine publisher in the U.S. and a leading publisher in the U.K. and Mexico. Time Inc.'s popular brands and successful franchises extend to online, television, satellite radio, mobile devices, events and branded products.

In the U.S. and globally, Time Inc. titles make their mark. Time Inc. publications reach over 100 million adults, nearly half the U.S. population. People magazine reaches more adult readers (more than 45 million as of fall 2009) with each issue than any consumer magazine ever. In 2010, People held the #1 spot on Adweek's Hot List, and Sports Illustrated was in the #6 position, while People StyleWatch and All You made Adweek's 10 Under 60 Hot List. People also earned the #5 spot, and Essence the #6 spot, on Advertising Age's annual A-List honoring the top magazines of 2009. The Sports Illustrated annual Swimsuit franchise, which includes the magazine, video, calendars, an iPhone app and a website, is among the most profitable of any single magazine-branded franchise. Real Simple was #1 in ad pages in the women's lifestyle group in 2009, taking the lead from O magazine for the first time.

Time Inc. continues to transform into a multi-platform publishing company that creates, sells, aggregates and delivers premier branded content to consumers. Among other initiatives, the company is working with a consortium of several other publishers to develop a new digital storefront that will enable consumers to enjoy their favorite print content on tablets and other digital devices.

Time Inc. has experienced great success online through its digital initiatives-its web-sites attract about 52 million unique visitors each month (as of March 31, 2010), more than any other magazine publisher, and serve close to 1.4 billion page views each month (as of March 31, 2010). Time Inc.'s digital properties are among the top 20 largest media properties online. SI.com received more than 7 million video views and 2.3 million unique visitors in the first day of the 2010 Swimsuit Edition launch. SI.com also launched its digital video network in 2010, delivering its award-winning journalism, breaking news and analysis, and sports highlights to the website's visitors. On the day TIME named Ben Bernanke its 2009 Person of the Year, Time.com had more than 1.8 million visitors and more than 10 million page views. People.com continues to be a leading site in entertainment news, with more than 14.5 million monthly unique visitors as of March 2010, and was singled out as "A Magazine Made for the Web” in the 2009 Advertising Age Digital Issue. CNNMoney.com is the largest business and financial website among vertical sites. As of April 2010, the site reached nearly 14 million unique visitors, who averaged 11 minutes and 12 pages per visit. In March 2009, Time Inc. launched LIFE.com, a joint venture with Getty Images. With more than 8 million images, the site launched as the largest professional photography collection available online and attracted more than 1 million unique visitors during its first week.

Time Inc. brands have also been successful in the past year with mobile devices. People.com's new dedicated iPhone app reached #4 on Apple's list of the top paid entertainment apps in June 2009. CNNMoney.com launched its iPhone app in 2009 and it quickly moved to #2 in the finance category. TIME also launched popular BlackBerry and iPhone apps in 2009 and in April 2010 launched one of the first apps for the iPad, which became the #1 paid media app in Apple’s app store at launch. And Time Inc.’s core titles are sharing branded content - including breaking news, celebrity interviews and links to stories and videos online - with an audience of more than 12 million people each day on Twitter. In late 2008, People.com launched PeoplePets, a social network for pet owners, which on its own had over 1 million followers on Twitter as of April 2010. SI Digital debuted the first-ever fantasy football game for Facebook in 2008.
