Highlights

Time Inc. is the largest magazine publisher in the U.S. and a leading publisher in the U.K. and Mexico. Time Inc.'s popular brands and successful franchises extend to online, television, cable video on demand, satellite radio, mobile devices, events and branded products.

Nationally and globally, Time Inc. titles make their mark. Time Inc. publications reach over 100 million adults, nearly half the U.S. population. People magazine reaches more than 45 million adults with every issue, the most ever for any magazine. People also earned the #5 spot, and Essence the #6 spot, on Advertising Age’s annual A-List, honoring the top magazines of 2009. The Sports Illustrated annual Swimsuit franchise, which includes the magazine, video, calendars, an iPhone app and Web site, is one of the most, if not the most, profitable of any single magazine-branded franchise. Real Simple is leading its competitors in the women's lifestyle category in ad pages for 2009, taking the lead from Oprah for the first time ever.

Time Inc. has experienced great success online through its aggressive digital initiatives; its Web sites attract more than 48 million unique visitors each month, more than any other magazine publisher, and serve close to 2 billion page views each month. SI.com received more than 20 million video views in the first two weeks following the launch of the 2009 Swimsuit edition. On the day of TIME’s Person of the Year announcement , naming Ben Bernanke, more than 1.8 million visitors came to Time.com, totaling more than 10 million page views. Time Inc.'s digital properties are among the top 20 largest media properties online.

People.com continues to lead in entertainment news, with 8.9 million monthly unique visitors, and was singled out as "A Magazine Made for the Web" in the 2009 Advertising Age Digital Issue. CNNMoney is the largest business and financial Web site among vertical sites, leading the category in total streams, streams per viewers, total minutes, and time per person. In March of 2009, Time Inc. launched LIFE.com, a joint venture with Getty Images. With more than 8 million images, the site launched as the largest professional photography collection available online and attracted more than one million unique visitors during its first week.

Time Inc. brands have also experienced great success in the past year with mobile. PEOPLE.com’s new dedicated iPhone app reached #4 on Apple’s list of the top paid entertainment apps. CNNMoney launched its iPhone app and quickly moved to #2 in the finance category and now has over 225k downloads. TIME also launched popular Blackberry and iPhone apps in 2009. And Time Inc.’s core titles are sharing branded content – including breaking news, celebrity interviews and links to stories and videos online – with an audience of more than four million people on Twitter each day. Time Inc. has also been active in social networking and mobile media; in late 2008, People.com launched PeoplePets, a social network for pet owners, while SI Digital debuted the first-ever fantasy football game for Facebook.

Time Inc. received seven honors in the 2009 Magazine Publishers of America Digital Awards including: SI.com -Web site of the Year in the Entertainment & Sports category, Entertainment Weekly “PopWatch” - Magazine Blog of the Year and InStyle Mobile - Best Mobile Strategy. Three Time Inc. titles were also honored in AdWeek Media’s 2008 Hot List, including Real Simple as #2 on its list of Top 10 Magazines and All You as #6 on its Top 10 Under 50 List (magazines with ad revenues under $50 million). People.com also took top honors as AdWeek Media's Magazine Web Site of the Year.

Time Inc. continues to transform into a multiplatform publishing company that creates, sells, aggregates and delivers premier branded content through whatever platform consumers demand.
