Kelly's Story

Kelly Browne is excited about her new role as Director of Accounting and Financial Planning at Warner Bros. Formerly a Manager of Financial Operations and Reporting at HBO, Kelly credits her cross-divisional move to the personalized search agent tool on Time Warner's Career website (www.timewarner.jobs). The Search Agent Manager enables you to create, edit and run your saved searches for open positions of interest across Time Warner. Saved searches can also be set up to have the newest search results emailed to you on a regular basis.
Kelly shared that her experience as a Manager at HBO helped prepare her for her current position in several ways. At HBO, she supervised a team of four Accountants and Senior Accountants and managed the financial operations and reporting for five business units. Managing teams, presenting financial statements to senior management, building relationships, and continuously assuming additional responsibilities were all key factors that prepared her for her current role.
When asked if she had any advice for anyone looking to move within the company, Kelly said:
"Absolutely. Here it is: build relationships. The people that you meet and work with will be the most valuable contacts, mentors, and friends in your professional career. Be authentic and be honest and the relationships that you create will benefit you for life."
