Gianna's Story

Digital Product Development Analyst, HBO

Gianna

When Gianna Luppino is not exploring art galleries and museums, seeking out live music, or learning how to organically farm, you can find her at HBO heavily involved in developing all aspects of the HBO GO/MAX GO product experience.

When asked why she loves what she does, Gianna said, "I love being part of a team that responds to varying demands in creative ways. So far, no day has ever been the same!Since I've been on the team, I've had the opportunity to work on the HBO GO launches of interactive features for iPad, Samsung Smart TVs and Xbox 360 projects." Prior to taking on this role, Gianna was able to hone her technical and business skills as a Web Producer for the Ecommerce division of the Style and Entertainment Group at Time Inc. which helped her seamlessly transition into the Product Development role with HBO.

MAKING AN IMPACT

"Teaching myself HTML/CSS without any computer science experience or training. At my previous job in the Style and Entertainment group, my responsibilities included running our external website's daily production updates. "

HOW DID YOU END UP IN YOUR CURRENT FIELD?

"I've always had an interest in the fields of entertainment and technology, although my previous experiences were primarily in the fashion industry. What caused me to change my path was my tech exposure at Time Inc. What was an underdeveloped interest in technology became a real passion of mine. "
