It’s time to believe in Steven! The Emmy-nominated and beloved Cartoon Network series “Steven Universe” debuts its musical masterpiece movie, “Steven Universe The Movie” commercial-free on Monday, Sept. 2 at 6 p.m. ET on Cartoon Network. And this isn’t just a movie, it’s a music-filled extravaganza featuring collaborations with Emmy, Grammy and Tony Award winners.

“Steven Universe,” a 2018 Peabody Award and 2019 GLAAD Media Award recipient, follows Steven and the Crystal Gems, a team of magical aliens who fight to protect planet Earth. After so many adventures together, the team has seen it all, but when an unknown enemy threatens to ruin everything, it's time for them to face their biggest challenge yet. And what better way to do that than with a movie musical!

“Steven Universe The Movie” is chock-full of amazing music, featuring collaborations with Chance the Rapper, Estelle, Patti LuPone, Uzo Aduba, Gallant, Aimee Mann and many more. The movie soundtrack will be available for download and streaming on Monday, Sept. 2 at 7:30 p.m. ET, immediately after the TV movie airs. The soundtrack will also be available on vinyl as a standard and deluxe edition on Friday, Nov. 15. In the meantime, you can pre-save the soundtrack right here. Plus, the music video for "True Kinda Love," the first single from the soundtrack (co-executive produced by Chance the Rapper), is out right now, and you can see it here.

A special “friends and family” screening of the new film was also recently held at The Theatre at Ace Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. In attendance were series creator Rebecca Sugar, Estelle (the voice of Garnet) and Michaela Dietz (the voice of Amethyst).

For fans who can’t wait to own the movie on DVD, you’ll be able to relive the musical escapades of Steven and the Crystal Gems again and again when the DVD is released on Tuesday, Nov. 12.
