Each year, the American Film Institute (AFI) recognizes the year’s most culturally and artistically significant films and television programs with AFI Awards, the only national honor for the entertainment community’s creative teams as a whole—recognizing the collaborative nature of these art forms.

Warner Bros.' Dunkirk and Wonder Woman were selected among the films of the year, while HBO's Big Little Lies, Game of Thrones and Insecure were named TV Programs of the Year.

Honorees will be celebrated January 5 at a private luncheon in Los Angeles, but you can see all AFI's selections for "works of excellence that defined the storytelling landscape of the past year" on the AFI Web site.
