Porky Pig is ready for his close-up.

The world’s original porcine princeling—and Warner Bros. very first cartoon superstar— is the subject of a new DVD collection from Warner Archives. Porky Pig 101 explores the animated animal’s humble origins in Friz Freleng’s 1935 short I Haven’t Got a Hat through his ascent to stardom.

The five-disc set collects 99 black and white Looney Tunes, plus two Technicolor Merrie Melodies—many of which are rarities— in one deluxe set. Animation scholars Greg Ford, Michael Barrier, Mark Kausler and others provide commentary on selected cartoons.

Porky Pig 101 is available September 19. Preorder yours today.
