Following The CW’s upfront last week, the network unveiled a fresh crop of trailers to entice viewers for the 2017-2018 season.
Cress Williams plays Jefferson Pierce, once known as the crime fighter Black Lightning. It’s been a decade since he hung up his suit and secret identity, but Pierce—now the father of two daughters—reluctantly gets pulled back into the fight. Black Lightning revives this DC super hero, originally created in the 1970s, and the first African-American character to have his own comic title. There’s lots of early buzz around the series executive-produced by Greg Berlanti, Salim Akil, Mara Brock Akil and Sarah Schechter. Get a first look below:
Life Sentence stars Lucy Hale (Pretty Little Liars) as Stella, a young woman living with a terminal cancer diagnosis for the past eight years. When she is unexpectedly cured, Stella—and her friends and family— must deal with the consequences of all her live-in-the-moment decisions.
The name is the same, but the hair styles have changed. Dynasty—the classic primetime soap opera from the 1980’s—gets a refresh starring Grant Show, Elizabeth Gillies, James Mackay and Nathalie Kelley. Expect much double crossing, hair pulling and drama from the boardroom to the bedroom when Dynasty arrives this fall. Get a taste of all that below:
Also coming this fall is Valor, a military drama about a mission—and relationships—gone terribly wrong. Matt Barr and Christina Ochoa star in the series.
