Cartoon Network began its seventh annual anti-bullying campaign this week, which this year includes not only some of the brand’s biggest names but also a special series of original videos.
"Stop Bullying: Speak Up" began on Saturday across Cartoon Network's linear and social media channels -- along with VOD and mobile applications -- to spread positive messages aimed at helping kids speak up against bullying. Every Saturday in October, programming from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. ET/PT will deliver a message focusing on positive peer relationships and "the power of teamwork." These themes will be covered on shows that include Steven Universe, The Amazing World of Gumball, Clarence, We Bare Bears and Teen Titans Go!
Additionally, Steven Universe creator Rebecca Sugar created a series of videos to teach kids ways to express themselves artistically while celebrating diversity and inclusion. The series of "Fearless Self Expression" videos launches next Saturday, October 8.
