Morning commuters in New York City's Union Square got a little surprise today: They came upon the aftermath of a dragon crash-landing.
Game of Thrones fans can visit the Union Square crash site all day, in celebration of the DVD and Blu-ray release of the show's fifth season.
At 7:30 p.m. today in Herald Square, there'll be a special outdoor fan event, which includes a screening of the 20-minute animated Blu-ray feature, "The Dance of Dragons," and an animated projection of a dragon taking flight across the city. The first 200 fans on queue will get giveaways of the Season Five Blu-ray, and there'll be other special surprises as well.
Not in New York City? Word on the street is that dragons will be crash-landing in Los Angeles today (at Hollywood & Highland Courtyard, taking flight again at 8:15 p.m.), Philadelphia tomorrow (in front of City Hall at Dilworth Plaza, taking flight at 8:15 p.m.) and San Francisco on Thursday (landing during the day at Pier 39 and taking off from Civic Center Plaza at 8:15 p.m.).
Keep an eye peeled for dragon landings, or at least be sure to pick up your copy of Game of Thrones Season 5 today!
