Last month, Time Warner Internal Audit held its annual Global Conference at Turner's Techwood Campus in Atlanta (see photos below).  Four days of internal training, networking and presentations from industry leaders and company executives kicked off with the presentation of the Chief Audit Executive Award of Excellence.

This year, Jason Whitehurst, IT Audit Senior Manager, received the CAE Award of Excellence, which is awarded annually to those whose contributions consistently exemplify the critical behaviors and skills necessary to provide world class internal audit services.

"The high quality of work delivered by all members of the Internal Audit team motivates me every day to perform at my best," said Whitehurst. "I am thankful for the opportunity to be surrounded by such hard working, intelligent, and friendly team members."

Whitehurst's colleagues Ben McClelland and Chad Kelly nominated him for the CAE Award this year, saying: "While we, and many others, could go on and on about Jason's contributions…the point is that Jason consistently goes beyond what others expect of him. Not because he measures himself against the expectations of others – but because he doesn’t. Jason's internal compass measures success in terms of the broader success of the team and company, which is why we believe he epitomizes our core values and why he inspires the Atlanta office each and every day."

The global conference featured presentations by Time Warner CFO Howard Averill, Turner CFO Pascal Desroches, Juan Carlos Urdaneta, president of TBS Latin America, and others. The event concluded with a Town Hall lead by Steve Fiedler, SVP and Chief Audit Executive, and Nick Betts, VP, Internal Audit.
