CNN debuted as the first 24-hour news channel on June 1, 1980, and has chronicled—and made—history since then, covering everything from wars to natural disasters and acts of terror to politics and pop culture.

To mark its 35th anniversary, CNN is looking back at some of the biggest stories – including Baby Jessica, the first Gulf War, the O.J. Simpson Trial, September 11th, and more – in a one-hour special featuring personal accounts, behind-the-scenes footage and archived video. Breaking News: 35 Years of CNN, hosted by Wolf Blitzer, premieres tonight, May 26, at 9 p.m. ET and will re-air June 1.

CNN is also marking its 35th anniversary online at www.cnn.com/cnn35 with additional, exclusive content including CNN bloopers from over the years, an interactive quiz on CNN's defining moments and an extensive photo gallery.
