Last week, Time Warner -- a longtime supporter of the NAACP -- hosted a reception welcoming the Association's new CEO, Cornell William Brooks. Time Warner CEO Jeff Bewkes delivered opening remarks:

"Cornell has a long and impressive history of public service as a civil rights lawyer, minister and human rights advocate and has been at the forefront of this country’s most pressing issues like equitable and fair housing, access to a quality education and criminal justice reform," Bewkes said. "Cornell’s breadth of experience makes him the ideal choice to lead our nation’s largest and longest-serving civil rights institution."

The reception was held at Time Warner Center in New York City, with former New York Governor David Paterson and former New York City Mayor David Dinkins in attendance.
