Apps and live-streaming bring sports fans closer to the action than ever before. And recently entertainment executives from a number of content companies, including Turner, spoke at the Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, CA, about leveraging this new digital fan base.

The "At the Intersection of Sports and Technology" panel discussed how sports technology has evolved, the impact it’s had on the business and how sports are being experienced by a new generation of fans. It was hosted by BE@WB, a business resource group for Black employees at Warner Bros.

Panel participants included: Alex Vargas, Vice President of Business Operations for Bleacher Report, Turner Broadcasting Inc.; Donald Polite, Executive Director, Sales Planning and Retail Marketing, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment; Karen Brodkin, EVP, Business and Legal Affairs, Fox Sport Media Group; Derrick Heggans, President & CEO of Rose Park Productions; and David Rone, President, Time Warner Cable Networks and Time Warner Cable Sports.
