The wildly popular Warner Bros. Japan series, Rurouni Kenshin, is back for its second installment. The premiere for the sequel, Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno, took place July 23 at the Tokyo International Forum where the film’s director, Keishi Otomo, was greeted by more than 4,000 fans. Last week, the Philippines premiere took place, which made Rurouni Kenshin the first ever Japanese film to hold a premiere in the Philippines. And the cast attended a Cultural Friendship Ambassador Ceremony and press conference. The film will open in theaters across the Philippines August 20.
The last installment of the trilogy, Rurouni Kenshin: The Legends End will be released in Japan September 13 and in the Philippines September 24.
