Audiences in the Philippines, Thailand and India will soon be able to watch local versions of three popular, award-winning scripted series from Warner Bros. Television Group.

“We are seeing a significant increase in the number of our scripted formats, which are traveling successfully around the world, and we are delighted to be able to partner with such a high calibre of production companies to bring these programmes to the screen in Asia,” said Andrew Zein, Senior Vice President, Creative, Format Development and Sales, in the announcement from WB’s International Television Production.

A 22-episode local adaptation of Pretty Little Liars, currently in production with ABC Development Corporation, will debut in April on TV5 in the Philippines. Ranked in the U.S. as the #1 original series of all time on ABC Family (its fifth season premieres this summer), the teen drama revolves around four girlfriends who are reunited after the mysterious death of their friend Alison, who may still be alive…and watching them.

In Thailand, Kantana Public Company Limited is producing an 18-episode local adaptation of Gossip Girl, the cult hit about the lives of affluent young elites with access and money to explore all the temptations of urban life. Known for setting trends in fashion, music, and social media during its five-year run on The CW, the series’ first local version – Gossip Girl Acapulco – debuted in Mexico last year.

Finally, the most Emmy-nominated series in history, ER, is under option in India with Gold Television Network. This follows an announcement in January of a Colombian version of the series. The series about doctors at Chicago's County General Hospital was honored with more than 116 awards during its 15-season run in the U.S., including 23 Emmy Awards and the prestigious Peabody Award.
