Tonight, Time Warner will host the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF) State of the Union at Time Warner Center in New York City. This is the second time Time Warner, a supporter of MALDEF, has hosted the event. Founded in 1968, MALDEF is the leading Latino civil rights organization in the nation, and promotes social change through advocacy, communications, community education, and litigation in the areas of education, employment, immigrant rights, and political access.

Saenz, president and general counsel, MALDEF; José Calderón, president, Hispanic Federation; Maria “Gaby” Pacheco, co-director, Bridge Project; Arturo Vargas, executive director, NALEO; and Tanya K. Hernandez, professor of law, Fordham University School of Law.
