Last week, Time Warner had the privilege of introducing New York media industry and LGBT community leaders to Sarah Kate Ellis, the new president of GLAAD, the United States' leading LGBT media advocacy organization.
The reception, hosted at Time Warner Center overlooking Columbus Circle, was a chance for guests to meet and talk one-on-one with GLAAD's new chief executive. No stranger to Time Warner, Ellis formerly served as a marketing executive at Time Inc.
"We are thrilled that Sarah Kate Ellis has been named GLAAD's new CEO and President. In addition to her long-time passion for LGBT rights, she brings proven leadership and marketing skills to her new post," said Lisa Garcia Quiroz, Senior Vice President, Corporate Responsibility and Chief Diversity Officer at Time Warner Inc., in discussing the appointment. "How fortunate for us that such a distinguished alumna of the TW family is leading such an important and influential partner in the LGBT community."
