Warner Bros. Creative Talent is giving five lucky people a chance to gain unique insight into the world of theatre with Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures’ hit UK production Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
Through the ‘Golden Ticket’ work placement program, five individuals will receive week-long paid internships where they will shadow the team of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. During the internship, the interns will learn from members of different departments - from Stage and Management to Wardrobe and Hair & Make Up. After the week is complete, the most promising of the five interns will be offered a full three-month paid production internship where he/she will help support the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory team.
Applications for the week-long internships are due February 16, 2014.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is extending its run at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane until May 2015. Critic Henry Hitchings from the London Evening Standard called it, "The biggest home-grown musical of the year! Willy Wonka's kingdom is realised in spectacular style in a tremendously inventive show." The production has recently broken the West End Theatre record for the highest reported weekly gross sales for the second time with £1,080,260.00 ($1,761,266.35 USD) during the week of December 30, 2013.
