This year's Sundance Film Festival lineup featured an amazing range of projects that the Foundation touched through organizations including the Sundance Institute, Film Independent, Tribeca Film Institute, and the Independent Filmmaker Project. And P.S.: Four alumni left Park City with award-winning films, decided by festival goers’ ballots. Rich Hill won the U. S. Grand Jury Prize for Documentary; Imperial Dreams won the Audience Award for Best of NEXT; Low Down walked away with the Cinematography Award: U. S. Dramatic; while Dear White People was given the U. S. Dramatic Special Jury Award for Breakthrough Talent. Meanwhile, festival goers were buzzing about Obvious Child, the film from Tribeca Film Institute alum Gillian Robespierre which received glowing reviews and was quickly picked up by film distributor A24.
