This morning, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced the nominees for its 86th Annual Academy Awards. Warner Bros.’ Gravity received 10 nominations, tying for the most nominations by one motion picture. Warner Bros. also scored the most nominations among distributors with 21 in all.

In total, Warner Bros. and HBO received 22 Oscar nominations, including: Best Motion Picture of the Year (Gravity, Her); Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role (Sandra Bullock, Gravity); Achievement in Directing (Alfonso Cuarón, Gravity); Achievement in Visual Effects (Gravity, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug); Original Screenplay (Her, Spike Jonze); and many more. Other Warner Bros. nominees include The Great Gatsby and Prisoners as well as HBO's Prison Terminal: The Last Days of Private Jack Hall for Best Documentary Short Subject.
