To raise awareness about energy conservation issues, the Time Warner Global Energy Council hosted a lunchtime seminar for employees that explored sustainability and how the decisions we make every day can impact dwindling natural resources. The workshop featured Lauren Yarmuth, LEED fellow and principle/co-founder from leading sustainability firm YR&G, and Ante Vulin, YR&G’s sustainability manager, who discussed their views on sustainability and how finding solutions that take into account social, economic and environmental factors are imperative for our businesses and our communities. See highlights from the employee workshop in the video below.
"The focus of today's lunch and learn is to engage our employee base," said Steve Lefkowitz, executive sponsor of the energy council. "And provide them with information that will help them help us conserve energy in the workplace."
The seminar was part of a year-long campaign to build awareness among employees about Time Warner's successful energy initiatives and to pursue new opportunities with experts, such as YR&G, that will inspire employees to help the company meet its energy goals. Lefkowitz and his team are hoping to host similar events in Time Warner's Atlanta and Burbank offices early next year.
