This Sunday, you can get an inside look at the man who founded the first "Super Station," which quickly evolved into a global media company. In Ted Turner: The Maverick Man, CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer talks with Ted Turner about his trailblazing career, humanitarian and cable television legacies, and his successes and failures – both personal and in business.
“Ted Turner has done for the broadcast media industry what Steve Jobs and Bill Gates have done for technology and personal communications,” Blitzer said in the announcement. “From this in-depth look behind Ted’s hard won achievements and biographical challenges, viewers will come to understand the man we know today.”
This 60-minute introspective profile features exclusive family videos and photos, as well as interviews with Turner's five children and key figures in his life, including ex-wife Jane Fonda, President Jimmy Carter, broadcaster Larry King, and more.
You can join the second screen experience when the film premieres by using #TedTurner on Twitter during the broadcast to engage with other viewers. In addition, Ted's Montana Grill restaurants will also air the film.
Ted Turner: The Maverick Man premieres Sunday, November 17 at 7 p.m. ET on CNN and also at 9 p.m. on CNN International in North America. Click the image below to watch a sneak peek of the film.
