Yesterday, great minds in media came together for the 2013 Media Tech Summit at the Time-Life Building in New York City to discuss the current state of media and what we can expect next. Time Warner divisional representatives from Turner Broadcasting and Warner Bros. were in attendance.

Jack Wakshlag, Chief Research Officer of Turner Broadcasting, sat on the Research = Innovation: Turning Facts into Ideas panel and discussed the importance of not just collecting data, but using it smartly. Wakshlag specifically spoke to the importance of how to use smart data to make informed decisions about content and multiplatform devices.

Later in the day Craig Hunegs, President of Business Strategy at Warner Bros. Television Group, and Mark Pedowitz, President of The CW Network, discussed timely topics on President’s Panel: What We Love/Hate About Digital Distribution, including TV Everywhere and binge television watching. “It’s a great time to be in the television business, because there are so many ways to watch our shows,” Hunegs noted.
