It may not seem obvious at first blush, but fans of DC Comics Super Heroes and Hello Kitty may have more in common than you think.

Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP) and DC Entertainment are partnering with Sanrio, creator of the global icon Hello Kitty, to launch an awesome (and adorable) brand collaboration.

Beginning next year, Hello Kitty will be dressed to impress when she arrives in EMEA territories as her favorite DC Comics Super Heroes, including Wonder Woman, Superman and Batman. Retailers will offer heroic Hello Kitty apparel, personal care products, accessories and more, from a variety of top-tier licensing partners.

“Hello Kitty is an inspired choice for a momentous co-branding that will expand the reach and appeal of both DC Comics Super Heroes and Sanrio properties,” said Brad Globe, president, Warner Bros. Consumer Products in the announcement. “This unique partnership joins two powerhouse brands that have a universal popularity across a variety of demographics and we know the collaboration will thrill fans of both properties.”

So keep an eye out for a super-powered Hello Kitty to roll out across EMEA in 2014 from your favorite toy retailers online and in stores.
